Olivia Zhang

Hi! I'm Olivia. I'm currently a partner at Shine Capital. Previously, I did data science at Sequoia; growth investing at Accel; and software engineering and product management at Carbon. I also was an investment partner at Dorm Room Fund, a student-run fund backed by First Round, for three years. At Princeton, I studied computer science and cognitive science, and have been focused on engineering since starting high school at TJHSST. I also directed TigerTrek and IgniteSTEM, and did research with the Princeton Neuroscience Institute.

I grew up as a competitive figure skater and am from DC, though I've lived in a number of different places. I love talking/learning about cognitive science, design, technology, motivation, and movement.

I spent a summer traveling around japan learning about traditional bookmaking and papermaking, studying at the awagami factory in tokushima and MI-LAB studio in tokyo.
